1. The agreement
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a legal agreement between you and Logy (“we”, “us”, “our”), the maker of Logy (the “Service”). By downloading, installing or using Logy, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Logy.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Logy. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your country, your parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your account
You can use Logy fully offline without an account. Some features — cloud backup, multi-device sync, and managed subscriptions — require an account. You can create one either by verifying a phone number with a one-time code, or by signing in with Google.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for any device on which Logy is signed in. If you lose access to your phone number or Google account, you may lose the ability to sign in and restore a cloud backup.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Logy to:
- break any law, regulation, or another person's rights;
- store, transmit or process material that is illegal, harmful, or that infringes intellectual property you don't have the right to use;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract our source code, except to the extent local law permits;
- interfere with, disrupt or place unreasonable load on the Service;
- resell, rebrand, or commercially exploit the Service beyond your own use of it.
4. Your content
Your notes, voice recordings, photos, files and any other material you create or upload remain yours. We do not claim any ownership over them.
By using Logy, you grant us a narrowly scoped, non-exclusive licence to host, process and transmit your content only for the purpose of providing the Service to you — for example, storing an encrypted backup of your notebook on our servers when you opt in, or sending a single note to our AI provider so it can be processed.
We never sell your content, and we never use it for advertising. We are not a publisher and we do not actively review what you store, except as strictly required to operate the Service or to respond to a valid legal request.
5. AI processing
Logy uses Google's Gemini models — currently Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite for generation and Google's embedding model for search (or successor models) — to help title and summarise notes, extract reminders, tag content, read images and documents, and power the in-app Assistant that answers questions across your notebook.
When you capture a note, the contents of that note — not your wider notebook — are transmitted to our AI provider for processing under contractual terms that prohibit retention or use of your content for model training. AI processing is a core part of how Logy organises your notebook, and it runs on the notes you capture while you have a connection; the rest of the app continues to work offline.
6. Subscriptions & billing
Logy offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription (“Premium”) managed by the Apple App Store and Google Play (via RevenueCat). Premium unlocks the AI Assistant, cloud backup & multi-device sync, automatic reminders, the dark theme, and higher note limits. Billing, renewal, refunds and cancellations are governed by the store's terms in addition to ours.
- Eligible new subscribers may be offered a free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription automatically.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel from your store's subscription settings at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds are handled by the store; we'll always help advocate where appropriate.
- If a price change applies to your renewal, you'll be notified and asked to consent before it takes effect.
7. Service availability
Logy is local-first: the notebook itself works offline. Online features (backup, AI processing, sync) depend on third-party services we don't control. We aim for high reliability, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
From time to time we'll release updates, maintenance windows or migrations. We'll try to do so with as little disruption as possible.
8. Warranty disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Logy is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind — whether express, implied or statutory — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI output, or uninterrupted service.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Logy is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profit or goodwill arising out of or relating to your use of Logy. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.
10. Termination
You can stop using Logy and delete the app at any time. You can also delete your account from Settings, which permanently removes your notes, media and reminders from this device and from the cloud, and revokes our access to any data we held on your behalf.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. We'll give reasonable notice where possible.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll let you know in the app and on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use Logy after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Logy is registered, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
13. How to contact us
For anything related to these Terms — questions, complaints, legal notices — please reach us at connect@uselogy.com. For general support, see our contact page.
Thank you for reading. We mean these terms in the same spirit we built the app — with care, with restraint, and with respect for the trust you've placed in us.
